TWCC Scholarship Fund

Tribal Wi-Chi-Way-Win Capital Corporation (“TWCC”) hosts an Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament to raise money for the TWCC Scholarship Fund. The program was established in 2005, and was designed to promote First Nation students in Manitoba pursuing their post-secondary studies in the form of a certificate, diploma, or degree. To date, TWCC has awarded over $150,000 in post-secondary scholarships to students in Manitoba.

2023 APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. TWCC Scholarship Award Application Form; the application form can be downloaded from this link.
  2. Autobiography explaining the type of work you want to pursue after graduation, your long-term career goals, and why you believe you should be selected to receive the award.
  3. Letter of reference, written by someone from your institution of study, or from your community.
  4. Proof of acceptance and/or enrolment into a recognized post-secondary institute.
  5. Copy of Status Card.
  6. Transcript of the previous scholastic year.

    ** Please note, incomplete applications will not be considered.

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Any First Nation student in Manitoba. (This also applies to students from Manitoba who are pursuing their studies out of the province.)
  • Enrolled in a recognized post-secondary institution.

APPLICATION PROCESS & SELECTION OF RECIPIENTS:

The selection process will be administered by TWCC to efficiently distribute the funds to individuals on the basis of need in a transparent manner. Specific guidelines are followed, free from internal bias, and verified through proper due diligence.

  • TWCC will review and select the successful candidates using their established criteria.
  • Each successful candidate will be notified by TWCC of their Scholarship Award.
  • Successful candidates agree to be part of TWCC media releases including but not limited to news releases, website, non-traditional media, and other such communications at the discretion of TWCC.
