About Us

Tribal Wi-Chi-Way-Win Capital Corporation (TWCC) was established in 1993 to provide financial resources to qualified member Aboriginal entrepreneurs and businesses in Manitoba. TWCC was created through the efforts and application of five Manitoba Tribal Councils and a several Independent First Nations in Manitoba. From the original three employees, TWCC has grown to its present sizes of over 200 employees across multiple lines of business. A diversification strategy has led to consistent and strategic growth within the organization, including an expansion of business lines and services as well as markets served.

TWCC embraces a culture founded on strong governance, commitment to deliver value to its shareholders and to make positive contributions within the community. Today, TWCC is one of the largest of the 60+ Aboriginal Capital Corporations across Canada. Since inception in 1993, TWCC loans have helped approximately 800 Aboriginal businesses in Manitoba, which in turn has generated over 2,300 jobs.

TWCC has achieved a number of notable accomplishments, having been awarded: Most Outstanding Medium Size Business by the Manitoba Chamber of Commerce,  the 12th Fastest Growing Business in Manitoba for two consecutive years by Manitoba Business Magazine, as well as receiving Economic Developer of the Year honours by the Council for the Advancement of Native Development Officers (CANDO).

Diversification Strategy

TWCC’s long-standing success can in part be attributed to its strategic partnership initiatives. Through a robust system of careful vetting, TWCC explores partnerships with companies and organizations that share similar goals of unification and building capacity in our communities. TWCC has remained steadfast in this commitment to the community, providing value to stakeholders through diversification of business products and services. For TWCC, partnerships provide a pathway for continued growth, striving to make a larger impact on the local community and beyond.
